Job: Maintenance Worker I (FT)

Under general supervision, operates and maintains HVAC, Steam Generators, Chillers, Air Handlers Dearlator Systems, and pumps. Assists in maintaining hospital grounds. Monitors Preventative Maintenance initiatives. Must be able to perform skilled journeyman level work on piping systems, air compressors, vacuum pumps, motors, cooling towers and logs all necessary readings from above equipment and general building repairs. Must be proficient using a computer. Must have the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Must safely operate all snow removal equipment including the facilities skid steer and truck mounted snowplow.

Education and Training:
High School Graduate preferably with mechanical courses.
Experience:
Three years’ experience as a boiler operator and one-year experience on building air cooling systems.
Physical/Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, climb, and work in awkward positions. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without difficulty. Exposed to noise, heat, and grease.
