The Bear Valley Community Health Care District (BVCHD) is proud to announce a new contract that provides skilled nursing for veterans in our Big Bear Valley Community.

This milestone means that veterans now have access to high-quality, compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. From rehabilitation and chronic illness management to support with daily living, our skilled nursing facility is here to ensure that those who have served our country receive the dignity, respect, and exceptional care they deserve.

“For our local veterans, this contract represents not just enhanced healthcare options but also a commitment to honor their sacrifices by supporting their health, well-being, and quality of life,” said Kerri Jex, BVCHD’s Chief Nursing Officer. “Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier community for those who have given so much.”

BVCHD worked tirelessly to establish a relationship with the Veterans Affairs (VA) to be able to provide care to our veterans at our hospital and clinics through a community care partnership. Veterans simply must contact the VA to transfer care to BVCHD’s Family Health Clinic or Rural Health Clinic.
