Reduce Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain with Chiropractic Care

If you’re dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches and even muscle pain, a chiropractic adjustment may help. Chiropractors can help treat musculoskeletal pain (pain in your muscles, bones and joints) throughout your body. And, they offer an alternative, medication-free approach that is less invasive than many other forms of traditional medicine.

Similar to physical rehabilitation, chiropractic care is a “hands on” experience. Using physical spinal manipulation, chiropractors can help increase range of motion, decrease nerve issues, and reduce pain overall.

While physical rehabilitation focuses on functional mobility and fitness, however, chiropractors focus primarily on spinal alignment and pain relief. In many cases, improved mobility follows.

What Should I Expect During a Chiropractic Visit?

Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) may offer numerous treatments options during your visit, depending on your body’s needs. These include adjustments (sharp movements meant to help align joints and decrease pain); soft-tissue therapy (to help relax overly tight muscles); stretching; Kinesio taping; and diet and nutrition recommendations. You can expect to hear popping and cracking during the adjustment portion of the visit, but by and large adjustments are no painful and may in fact offer a great deal of relief to patients.

Whether you’re dealing with arthritis, scoliosis, joint pain, sciatica or other chronic pain, they’ll create a treatment plan specific to your needs.
