All treatment is provided right here in Bear Valley, ensuring that healing is as accessible as possible for Big Bear residents and visitors.
Rehabilitation services offer a hands-on approach to promoting recovery, independence and quality of life. Our individualized treatment plans will get you back to your favorite sport, job, or an independent lifestyle as quickly as possible.
BVCHD Rehabilitation Services are designed to be effective, safe, and cost-conscious, complementing the delivery of high-quality professional care throughout the continuum of inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings. This includes healing from issues like low back pain, leg pain, neck discomfort, range of motion (difficulty turning your head) neurological disorders, pediatric disorders, geriatric disorders, work-related injuries and more.
Focus: Restoring mobility, strength, endurance, and function.

Rehabilitation Services provides care for inpatients, outpatients, and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) residents of all ages – from neonates to geriatrics.
Not necessarily. The Rehabilitation Services Department responds to both provider requisitions and self-referrals, as permitted under California’s Direct Access Law. A Physical Therapist may evaluate and treat a patient for up to 12 visits without a physician referral, after which a provider order is required to continue care.
Following an initial assessment, a treatment plan of care is developed and implemented with measurable goals. Progress is continually reassessed using evidence-based outcome measures to determine if further treatment is necessary.
