Originally from Encinitas, Dr. Groke began his service at BVCHD in 2015 with a focus on emergency medicine. Dr. Groke earned his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Portland. He did his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Dr. Groke is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Groke has three children: a daughter attending Brigham Young University; a daughter on a church mission in Atlanta, Georgia; and a teenage son who loves wrestling, volleyball and working to become an ER doctor like his father.
In his spare time, Dr. Groke enjoys Brazilian jiujitsu, landscaping and playing ultimate frisbee.
