Dr. Saghafi joined BVCHD’s emergency team in 2022. Originally from Anaheim, he earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego, and later completed his residency at Denver Health Medical Center FKA: Denver General Hospital, Emergency Medicine. He is board certified in emergency medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Saghafi enjoys surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, playing violin and traveling. He volunteers at Camp Wapiyapi, a summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings, as well as in Mexico, Uganda and South Africa.
Dr. Saghafi currently serves on committees developing a health care provider curriculum in Uganda, as well as a “Foundations for Global Health Responders” course for the University of Colorado MOOC.
