An MRI Scanner in Big Bear?
Each year, medical patients must travel off the mountain – often in an ambulance or helicopter – in order to receive a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) scan.
720 people every year, on average!
Bear Valley Community Hospital wants to provide greater convenience and access for Big Bear residents and visitors with an MRI machine available right here.
YOU can help the Hospital Foundation raise money to make this state-of-the-art health service a local reality. Every donation, large or small, will bring our valley closer to finally having an MRI within reach – no matter how bad the weather may be and no matter how many roads are closed.
It’s about time!
Each year, on the second Saturday of November, a beautiful pine tree on the Hospital Campus is lit at dusk. Everyone is invited to purchase a symbolic light, in honor of, or in memory of a loved one. These names are read aloud at the Tree of Lights ceremony. To participate in this year’s ceremony, click the “Purchase a Light” button or scan the QR code below.
